The past 2 days
The past 2 days I have been watching episodes of “Parenthood.” I started at the beginning of the series and am on episode 6 right now.
This show is so good. Everyone needs to watch it.

Is it possible??
Our staff is working hard to have a staff trip this summer?? We can’t even get all of us together when we live in the same building, but we’re actually managing to get a big group of us together.
As most of you know, I love my staff—so I am BEYOND stoked!
And on top of that, we are planning a trip to Chicago. I love that city.
Hope everyone is enjoying their summer!

Tara
Thank you, five o’clock shadows, or as they call you in the military — seventeen o’clock hundred shadows.
Oh just my 20 year old sister crying over glee.
For the people who think I watch too much TV, they are correct. I will justify it by saying “At least I don’t care THIS much!”

So, I am a little mad about this whole Finn and Rachel breaking up thing…
Season 4, you better fix that ASAP!

May 21, 2012
Today has been a spectacular day.
I worked and then met up with a friend who was getting the keys to her apartment for next year. This is the same friend who letting me sublease from her for the summer—so technically we got the keys to MY apartment! :)
We moved a couple loads of out stuff in, grabbed some dinner, walked around Uptown Normal for a bit, went to Comcast to get the cable box, and just …realized we are getting old. (Oh-we also got parking tickets)
After she left, I went back to the house I am staying at for the week. I watched “Dancing with the Stars” (Go Katherine and Mark!!!), “Bethenny,” “Chelsea Lately,” and now wait for Lea Michele on “The Late Show” (Man-I watch way too much TV).
I also received news that 2 of my friends and small group members got engaged!!!, and some of my friends are moving back down here tomorrow for the summer!
It was definitely my kind of day. So happy.
Oh-and I think I am going to wear a dress tomorrow. :)

This farewell to Kristen Wiig is probably the saddest SNL sketch I’ve ever seen.
Yes…This made me cry. I love Kristen Wiig. She is the cutest. I love that she cried and didn’t try to stay in character. Love her! I’ll miss her for sure. She’s one of the main reasons I watch “SNL.”
Hopefully this means more movies for her. I’d be okay with that. :)
Truly,
Tara
I’m still waiting.
I need one of these “SNL” skits to be crazy good! Can we have some guest stars that I like/care about?? Can we have more Kristen Wiig?? It’s her last night. C’mon NBC.
It’s a good thing the Weekend Update didn’t disappoint.

Boredom
I really hate saying this, but I’m bored. It’s only the end of Week 1 of summer and I’m bored. To be fair, I was at home for ~4 days and now I am back up at school. I haven’t been able to unpack and get settled anywhere. Living out of a suitcase is one of my pet peeves. I hate it.
I need to get into my apartment so I can feel settled and relax. I am house-sitting this week. I feel like I have to spend all my time here. Aside from the few hours of work, I have nothing else to do. My friends aren’t in town yet and my jobs have fully begun yet.
I know things will get better, but I just wish they would get better faster.
In the meantime, today, I got off work at noon and have been watching “Glee” ever since. I’m not exaggerating. I’ve been watching “Glee” for 10 hours. I love “Glee,” but I am super embarrassed about the amount I have watched today. (Thankfully the finale is on on Tuesday, so I won’t have anymore to watch or obsess over)
Things I’ve learned about myself from “Glee” today:
- I want to learn to dance/take a dance class
- I want to wear more dresses
- I wish I was more for sure about what I want to do “when I grow up”
- I want to chop off my hair, and have it curl in a cute way
- I kinda want a boyfriend right about now…
So…talk about randomness. Now I am off to watch the season finale of “SNL.”
Truly,
Tara
